On my way home from a shoot I stopped at the Bair Drug Store which has been turned into a museum & bistro. The quaint bistro is brimming with charm. Each & every wall is full of antiques dating back to the early 1900’s! So exciting & SO up my ally! I absolutely adore losing time in antique stores & in this little bistro I could spend an entire afternoon. The moment I walked in, a faint reminiscent scent of antiques warmed me while the enticing smells from the kitchen lured me in even further. What really lightened my day was the elderly couple seated at the table next to me. I had assumed they were married & couldn’t believe the heart-warming conversation that took place between the two. Their conversation was full of light-hearted jokes, warmth, admiration for one another & lots of smiles. I couldn’t believe my ears! They cared kindly for one another. Soon enough, the gentleman inquired about my camera. Then and there did they invite me into the conversation which lasted at least half an hour! I learned they were both widowed & were just really good friends. He complimented her flowers, speaking of how colorful and vibrant her flowers were because she cared for them like no other person could. He spoke kindly of her grandchildren. She discussed with me about the importance of a true friendship & how very important it is in their years. Walking away from the bistro, I only dreamed I could have a friendship like theirs. Thanks Norman & Maria for enchanting my afternoon!
